My Views on this video:
This excerpt from the "Awful Truth" is a very sad reality about
rampant greed and the healthcare system. Moore proved that profit and
denial of claims are in the best interest of Wall Street investors of
which big pharma and insurance companies have a fiduciary
responsibility to. Americas sweeping loss of quality jobs and
opportunity combined with the dollar decline has actually made
Socialist nations like France, Canada and England look more appealing
due to their free health care, and educational opportunities. America
many years ago provided affordable healthcare for all free of
corporate intervention. Today those squandered opportunities left us
all uninsured, underinsured and afraid to get sick. Ralph Nader a
consumer advocate stated "American doctors kill 57,000 people each
year" due to malpractice and or accidents. To put this into
perspective that is the total death toll of the Vietnam war each year.
As an added note I do not agree with all of Moore's suggestions but I
do think he raises awareness in a satirical and dramatic way that
leads us to debate important healthcare issues.
